DIY Key Clamp Table in 4 Steps
There are plenty of ways to create your own key clamp table. Think of a table with key clamps and wood for outdoor use, or an indoor dining or coffee table. We're here to help you answer the questions: "How do you make a key clamp table? What should you pay attention to? And what do you need?"
1. Gather Inspiration
If you're unsure about what you want, it's good to gather inspiration first. Here you’ll find ideas for different ways to create a table using key clamps. Check out our inspiration page for key clamp tables.
When gathering ideas, consider the following:
- Type of tube: steel tubes, or powdercoated tubes
- Diameter: 26.9mm, 33.7mm, 42.4mm, 48.3mm, 60.3mm. The most commonly used diameters for tables are 33.7mm and 42.4mm.
- Table model: think about the table legs and how to attach the tabletop using the right fittings.
2. Create a Design
Turn your ideas into a design. By sketching out your table, you'll have a clear overview of what you need, making the ordering and assembly process much easier.
Here’s how to design a key clamp table:
