The benefits of galvanised key clamps

These Key clamps are galvanised, which means they are coated with a thin layer of zinc. Because of this, they are suitable for outdoor use and protected against corrosion and the elements to some extent.

A galvanised key clamp is very easy to use and install using the integrated set screw. In order to create a sturdy construction, you only need to fasten the set screws using the appropriate Allen key. The tube clamp will grip best on steel tubes, although aluminium tubes can be used as well. The set screw is made of hardened steel and will cut itself into the tube material, creating a bond that offers a lot of shear resistance.

Please note: Use the correct size Allen key to avoid damaging the set screw.

Because of the variety of tube fittings and diameters, a design can be made for almost any application. This includes furniture and safety railing. Most types of our galvanised key clamps are available in 5 diameters.

The larger diameters, like 48.3 mm and 60.3 mm, are suitable for larger load-bearing designs. Most sizes from 26.9 mm to 48.3 mm are well-suited for industrial-styled furniture. 26.9mm is used for a more minimalistic approach where the steel parts should overpower the rest of the design visually. 33.7 mm and 42.4 mm are used to create designs with a robust and strong appearance and strike a balance between strength and weight/cost.
