The Swivel Elbow key clamp creates a variable angled joint between two tubes at a fixed angle ranging from 90° to 200°. Unlike standard swivel fittings, this elbow does not swing freely but is held in position by an internal spring mechanism. The angle can be adjusted by applying force through the connected tubes.
This fitting is ideal for non-standard corners or angled joints in handrailing, furniture, signage or display structures. Made from hot-dip galvanised steel, suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Not intended for primary structural or safety-critical use.
Typical applications: angled frames, banner structures, folding supports, modular display assemblies.
Assembly
Each key clamp is supplied with a set screw (Allen screw) for secure installation. An Allen key is the only tool required to tighten the tube firmly in the key clamp. Always use the correct Allen key size to prevent damage to the set screw and ensure proper tightening.
Quality & Standards
Our tube clamps are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1562 and produced from high-quality malleable iron (grade KTH350-10). The tube clamps are finished with a hot-dip galvanised coating according to BS EN ISO 1461, providing excellent corrosion resistance and making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
When properly tightened to a recommended torque of 39 Nm, the tube clamps create a strong and reliable mechanical connection. Load capacity depends on the specific fitting type, tube size and construction design.
