The Combination Tee & Crossover is a key clamp designed for racking and storage structures, where a 90° joint between a horizontal load-bearing rail and a vertical upright is required. In addition to this connection, the fitting includes a rear socket to accommodate a horizontal cross tie.
This fitting is commonly used in shelf and pallet racking systems. For shelved racking, the horizontal rail often runs on the outside of the upright, while in pallet racking the rail is typically placed on the inside. The vertical upright passes through the fitting for maximum stability.
Assembly
Each key clamp is supplied with a set screw (Allen screw) for secure installation. An Allen key is the only tool required to tighten the tube firmly in the key clamp. Always use the correct Allen key size to prevent damage to the set screw and ensure proper tightening.
Quality & Standards
Our tube clamps are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1562 and produced from high-quality malleable iron (grade KTH350-10). The tube clamps are finished with a hot-dip galvanised coating according to BS EN ISO 1461, providing excellent corrosion resistance and making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
When properly tightened to a recommended torque of 39 Nm, the tube clamps create a strong and reliable mechanical connection. Load capacity depends on the specific fitting type, tube size and construction design.
