The Short Slope Tee, also known as Sloped Single Socket Tee, is a key clamp fitting designed to create a 90° T-joint between two tubes at an angle of 0° to 11°, making it ideal for sloped handrail systems such as access ramps or inclined walkways. This fitting connects a vertical post to a sloping rail, offering a secure and adjustable solution for gradients.
This type does not allow a tube to be joined in the top of the ‘T’. If a join in the upper section is required, we recommend using the Long Slope Tee instead.
Made from high-quality galvanised steel, the fitting is built to withstand outdoor environments and ensures long-lasting structural integrity.
Typical applications: Handrails, ramp guardrails, safety barriers, and industrial slope frameworks.
Assembly
The included set screw (Allen screw) makes assembly easy. An Allen key is the only tool needed to firmly secure the tubes in the tubeclamps. Please insure the right size allen key, an incorrect size can potentially damage the set screw.
Quality
Our key clamps have been manufactured according to strict specifications. The fittings are made from malleable iron (according to BS EN 1562) and are usually delivered in a hot dip galvanised finish (BS EN ISO 141) in order to combat corrosion and have a longer lasting product. Because of the galvanised finish this fitting is perfectly suitable for outdoor use. Our fittings are very strong and will support an axial load of up to 900 kg when tightened to a torque of 39Nm.
