The Long Slope Tee is a key clamp fitting designed to form a strong 90° T-joint between two tubes at a gradient of 0° to 11°. It is ideal for handrail systems on ramps or sloped surfaces, allowing a horizontal rail to connect securely to an angled upright.
This fitting supports a join in the top part of the ‘T’, meaning two tubes can be inserted into the clamp and joined with internal set screws, ideal for longer or modular railing runs.
Manufactured from galvanised steel, the Long Slope Tee offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Typical applications: handrails, sloped guardrails, access ramps, and fall protection barriers on gradients up to 11°.
Assembly
Each key clamp is supplied with a set screw (Allen screw) for secure installation. An Allen key is the only tool required to tighten the tube firmly in the key clamp. Always use the correct Allen key size to prevent damage to the set screw and ensure proper tightening.
Quality & Standards
Our tube clamps are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1562 and produced from high-quality malleable iron (grade KTH350-10). The tube clamps are finished with a hot-dip galvanised coating according to BS EN ISO 1461, providing excellent corrosion resistance and making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
When properly tightened to a recommended torque of 39 Nm, the tube clamps create a strong and reliable mechanical connection. Load capacity depends on the specific fitting type, tube size and construction design.
