This elbow key clamp connects a level top rail to a sloping section on the left-hand side, typically used where a handrail descends from a platform or landing. The sloped rail connects to the upright at an angle between 30° and 45° from vertical, resulting in a tube-to-tube angle of approximately 135° to 150°.
Typical applications: left-hand top rail transitions on staircases or ramps, safety rail corners, industrial access railings.
Use C201RH for the right-hand version, or combine with C211LH for the matching mid rail joint.
Typical applications: left-hand top rail transitions on staircases or ramps, safety rail corners, industrial access railings.
Assembly
The included set screw (Allen screw) makes assembly easy. An Allen key is the only tool needed to firmly secure the tubes in the tubeclamps. Please insure the right size allen key, an incorrect size can potentially damage the set screw.
Quality
Our key clamps have been manufactured according to strict specifications. The fittings are made from malleable iron (according to BS EN 1562) and are usually delivered in a hot dip galvanised finish (BS EN ISO 141) in order to combat corrosion and have a longer lasting product. Because of the galvanised finish this fitting is perfectly suitable for outdoor use. Our fittings are very strong and will support an axial load of up to 900 kg when tightened to a torque of 39Nm.
